Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), serves as Head of Energy Commission Library. The incumbent is lead of the Energy Library, and provides direction for other Library support staff. The Senior Librarian manages Library programs, which include administration and library automation; collection development; reference; on-line services; interlibrary loans; ordering and receiving; cataloging; and serials control.

-Digital Curation
and Scholarship at the UC Merced Library works collaboratively with faculty,
researchers, and students in using digital tools and services to advance the
creative, research, and teaching activities of the UC Merced academic
community.
-With support from
the National Historic Publications and Records Commission, we are undertaking a
project to digitize and provide online access to archival materials from county
Cooperative Extension offices in California, which document the history of
agriculture over the last century, and of agricultural extension work in the
state.
-The Digitization
Coordinator is responsible for managing digitization workflows for scanning and
conversion of archival information resources and loading of digital objects and
metadata in the library’s digital asset management system. The Digitization
Coordinator hires, trains, and supervises student employees to perform
