Summary
The Mt. San Antonio College Library supports student success through effective information literacy instruction, curricula relevant collections, and other support services that serve the needs of our diverse college community. This position will provide direct assistance to library users at the circulation desk on a daily basis. Assistance includes aiding with the location of materials, shelving, checking out/in books and reserve items, and answering general and services related questions. The Mt. SAC Library is a dynamic and rewarding place to work which strives to provide pleasant and outstanding service to our users.
Minimum Qualifications/Education & Experience:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by college-level coursework in library science or related field, and two (2) years of library clerical or related experience. An associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college in Library Science is desired.

Job Summary
Perform a variety of clerical and technical library duties in a secondary school library.
This is the second level in a library support career ladder. Incumbents at this level may support a
District Library Media Specialist, Librarian, or equivalent teacher and be assigned to a secondary school. Advancement to this level requires formal training sufficient to support higher levels of
research and instructional support.
Requirements / Qualifications
The position requires equivalent to graduation from high school plus post-high school library science curriculum or equivalent. An Associates Degree or an 18 unit Library Technology certificate is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in a library or instructional setting is desired.
To be considered for hire, candidates must meet the minimum requirements including a successful interview and successful reference checks. Please note that we require three references, one of them must be a supervisor (current or past). Upon hiring, TB and Fingerprint Clearance (at applicant’s expense) will be required prior to employment.
