Job Description
The library operates under a team-based structure and library faculty perform multiple roles, including technical services, public services, user instruction, access and discovery of materials.
Managing the library’s electronic and digital resources through various library platforms, including but not limited to Alma/Primo and OCLC WorldShare/Connexion.
Collaborating with area colleagues to facilitate projects, workflows, goals, and outcomes related to technical services.
Providing information, training, and support to inform colleagues and the campus of new features and interface changes related to e-resource discovery and utilization.
Provide reference, instructional sessions, orientations, and workshops to students and faculty through multiple modalities.
Collegially and actively participate in planning processes and contribute to all areas of the library operation, including learning and service assessment.
Participate in departmental and college governance activities through committee service and/or other appropriate activities.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must meet the minimum qualifications of a Library Technical Service faculty discipline at the college. Master’s in library science, library and information science, OR the equivalent
Must have evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the socio-economic, academic, cultural and ethnic diversity within the community college student population, including students for whom English is not their first language, first generation college students, and students with physical and/or learning disabilities as these factors relate to differences in learning styles.

Preferred Qualifications
Alma/Primo certification.
At least one year of technical services experience in an academic library setting.
Experience with cataloging and providing access to electronic and physical materials for use by students.
Awareness of library trends and emerging library technologies.
Dedication to work in and support a diverse environment of students with varying academic preparation, cultural backgrounds, learning styles, and identities.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including commitment to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and other members of the campus community to provide user-centered library services.
