The National Hispanic University offers the following degrees and certificates: Bachelor of Arts in Business, Child Development, Computer Information Systems, and Liberal Studies; Single and Multiple Subject Credentials; Master of Arts in Education, and certificates in Translation and Interpretation. The University is seeking a professional to join our team as a Director, Graduate, Research, and Online Library Services. The Director reports to the Vice Provost. The location of this position is San Jose, CA. The Director will provide leadership in the development and implementation of a graduate, research, and online plan to achieve the University's strategic goals to include a library staffing model that will scale to meet increased campus and online enrollments. This position offers a unique opportunity for a creative, energetic Director with an eye to the future to design library resources and services that take advantage of current and emerging technologies and trends in the delivery of information services.

The Director will collaborate to develop and supervise the maintenance of a resource-rich, dynamic Library Web site in addition to campus based library services. This Web site will organize library resources and services for students including reference services, electronic databases, proximal library services, interlibrary loan Internet tools, and other useful resources. The Director will be responsible for infusing information literacy instruction into the University's online courses and for providing training and support for faculty. By working closely with administrative staff and faculty, the Director supports University program outcomes.
