Desirable Qualifications:
Professional experience in an academic library, preferably a community college.

Experience designing and teaching innovative library instruction, library science or information literacy and assessing the effectiveness of instruction, learning and programs.

Demonstrated experience with using technology and multi-media delivery methods of instruction and interaction with students.

Knowledge of web development tools and ability to design and manage web site information and create dynamic web pages.

Experience creating and maintaining blogs, wikis, RSS, or other Web 2.0 technologies; experience evaluating, integrating and implementing new and emerging technologies and services.

Experience in selecting and integrating electronic resources for peer review, product trials and selection, negotiating contracts with publishers and vendors; producing reports to monitor usage of digital resources

Skill in using Windows and Mac computer platforms for word processing, spreadsheets, searching remote databases and systems, and multimedia creation such as video and audio podcasts.

Experience in working with students from diverse cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, academic, and disability backgrounds, with a wide variance of information-seeking skills and technological competence.

Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.; adaptable to a rapidly changing environment, and ability to collaborate with various departmental service units

Demonstrated experience with development and implementation of student learning outcomes and utilization of results for improvement of student learning.

Demonstrated experience with using technology and multi-media in delivery of instruction and interaction with students.
