Summary Description
This is a full-time tenure track position serving as the college’s technical services librarian. The successful candidate will provide leadership in the direction, management, assessment, and maintenance of the Library’s technical services. They will work collaboratively with library staff in a team environment and will have skills in information literacy instruction, reference, information technology, electronic resources, and collection development. They will participate in the college governance processes including serving on a variety of campus committees.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide original cataloging and oversee cataloging processes and procedures
- Manage and maintain the Library’s LSP (Ex Libris Alma and Primo)
- Manage electronic resources
- Serves as liaison to library vendors as related to technical services
- Provide online and in-person reference services in support of college instructional programs
- Provide online and in-person library instruction services
- Provide leadership in the evaluation of library databases and other electronic resources
- Participate in collection management
- Participate in the shared governance process including serving on college committees
- Participate in regular professional development activity
- Participate in the assessment and analysis of service area outcomes and student learning outcomes
- Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's in library science, library and information science,
OR the equivalent
AND
Demonstrated sensitivity to, understanding of and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, religious, sexual orientation, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a technical services librarian
- Experience using Ex Libris Alma and/or Primo platforms
- Experience with library analytics and reporting standards
- Experience planning and conducting information literacy workshops
- Experience working with diverse ethnic and socioeconomic populations
