Mountain View Public Library - Technology Librarian - Part Time

Mountain View Public Library is currently recruiting for an hourly technology librarian. This is currently a four to six month assignment for up to 28 hours per week. Mountain View is a great place to work!

  • Experience with systems and database administration.
  • Knowledge of Excel, including sorting, formulae, delimiters, and pivot tables.

Details about the job:
  • Starting pay is $29.84/hour, without benefits.
  • Schedule is up to 28 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during business hours.
  • Assists with Integrated Library System (ILS) configuration and back-ups, user accounts and permissions.
  • Assists with ILS database maintenance and record loads.
  • Run reports for information and weeding.
  • Assists with software upgrades, testing, and IT-related projects.
  • Provide staff assistance; troubleshoot Library software issues.
  • May assist with authority control projects.
  • Submits vendor Help Desk tickets and follows up as needed.
  • Our ILS is Sierra (Innovative)


What are the minimum qualifications and skills?
  • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in Library Science is desirable but not required.
  • Experience with systems and database maintenance.
  • Technology support experience.
  • Working knowledge of Integrated Library Systems, preferably with Innovative system.
  • Knowledge of MARC helpful.


What happens next?
