The University Library is searching for a fully engaged, energetic, service-oriented leader to oversee reference services, with
additional responsibilities for interlibrary loan and circulation. Strong contributions to the instruction program, strategic
planning processes, and group decision-making are expected. Placing students at the center of all services and working well with
a diverse population is essential.
Collaborating with individual faculty members and acting as liaison to multiple academic departments is a stimulating part of the
job, requiring strong people skills and a desire to fully integrate into campus life. Superior leadership skills are needed to guide
individuals toward reaching practical and visionary goals.
As a faculty member, librarians are expected to take a leading role in campus activities and governance. Scholarship plus service to
the campus and community are expected. This position requires an ALA-accredited MLS, MLIS, or equivalent, and at least three years of
progressively responsible public services experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.

Rank: Senior Assistant Librarian. Salary range: $57,060-$72,096, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
