Description
    Our Part-Time Library Specialist will performs a wide variety of professional library work involving reference services, library collections development, and services for children and young adults in both a main library and neighborhood library setting.

    The successful candidate for this position must have graduated from an American Library Association accredited college or university with a Master of Library Science (M.L.S.) or Master of Library and Information Services (M.L.I.S.) degree. The successful candidate will also have a flexible schedule, they will primarily work weekends at a branch or the main library.

Employment Standards
    Requires graduation from an American Library Association accredited college or university with a Master of Library Science (M.L.S.) or Master of Library and Information Services (M.L.I.S.) degree.

    Desired qualifications include:
one year of professional library experience, knowledge of computer-based information resources and applications in a public library; good customer service skills; good public speaking skills; self-starter with initiative and enthusiasm to work on on-going projects and an understanding of the Dewey Decimal System.
