Receives direction from higher-level library staff in the performance of a variety of professional librarian duties. Assists in the review, selection, acquisition, and weeding of materials. Instructs patrons in the use of Library and its resources and equipment. Refers library patrons to community as well as other alternate resources not within the Library. Provides reference and reader’s assistance services to patron of all ages. Assists in developing displays, tours, or programs. Performs manual and computerized bibliographic searches, easily uses the library’s computerized catalog and circulation system, uses Microsoft Word and the library’s email system, performs internet searches and assists patrons in using the internet.
