Departmental Overview
The Northern Regional Library Facility (NRLF) is a cooperative high-density shelving facility for library materials belonging to the UC libraries in California. It is one of two shared facilities developed to store, preserve, and provide access to low-use library collections. It is administered by the UCB Library. The Deposit Services and the Access Services units are administrative units at the NRLF.

Responsibilities
Process interlibrary lending requests using the University of California’s (UC’s) ILL Management system and OCLC’s WorldShare ILL request service; provide documents to library patrons through a number of delivery systems; using Millennium ILS circulate material held at NRLF onsite and to libraries for use by their patrons or technical services staff; monitor Inventory Management System to provide access and service materials; provide public services and basic reference services to library patrons visiting the Facility; receive and process returned material; provide paging services for remote and onsite users as needed; perform duties pertaining to stack maintenance of library collections.

Required Qualifications
Recent experience working with an integrated library system (ILS) and understanding bibliographic, item and holdings records.
Strong bibliographic searching skills and professional experience searching library catalogs and databases.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to interact with a diverse community of students, faculty, visitors and staff; excellent listening skills. 
Demonstrated commitment to providing quality public service and ability to meet the demands at a circulation desk, deal with challenging situations and meet deadlines despite competing priorities.
Excellent problem-solving skills. 
Demonstrated proficiency with standard professional software, such as the MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat XPro, Google Drive, etc.
Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail & handle interruptions. 
Ability to work independently, be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced work environment. 
Must be organized, work expeditiously, and handle heavy workloads. 
Ability to work alone, as well as in a team.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Millennium ILS
Experience using Inventory Management System for high-density storage, WorldShare ILL, and Melvyl/WorldCat.
Experience with document delivery processes.
