LAC Group is seeking a Library Technician
for a full-time, temporary (6 – 9 months in duration), position with a
corporate library located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County on
the Westside of Los Angeles. We are looking for
candidates with technical library experience, excellent attention to
detail, work experience in an integrated library system, and experience
using a corporate knowledge management system. We
currently have over 28,000 scanned documents and articles need to be
loaded, metadata defined, and links added to the digital library to make
them fully searchable and easily accessible to users. Please apply directly for immediate consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Add online access to reports located in the library catalog and also to the digital library;
- Provide file maintenance to the digital library;
- Perform descriptive cataloging and database clean-up as required;
- Add online access to company reports in the library catalog to the company's Knowledge Management System;
- Load, define metadata, and add links to newly scanned internally-generated technical reports;
- Provid e file maintenance in the digital library as needed;
Qualifications:
- Previous technical library experience;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Experience using an integrated library system;
- Experience using a corporate document management system;
