California - Pacific Library Partnership - Data Management and Social Media Contract Consultant for Veterans Connect @ the Library

Salary
Rate of Pay $35/hour – Not to exceed $2,500.   Does not include Travel Expense. Travel will be made on approved basis with expense not to exceed $1,000.

Hours
Approximately  10-15 hours per month for FY 2018/19 beginning on or near April 1, 2019 through August 30, 2019.

My colleague and I are project managers on a State Library grant funded project and are looking for a part-time data management/social media person for about 10-15 hrs/month..A library tech student would be great, or someone with strong Excel or spreadsheet/data management skills, and savvy with social media. We need to fill the position asap.

Duties Include
Project Libraries/ LSTA Survey Data compilation and reporting - Will manage and aggregate online collection of monthly and semi-annual statistics and feedback; will provide results to Project Managers for analysis and semi-annual and annual reporting; revises and creates complex data collection forms using Google Forms.

Website and Social Media and Newsletter -Will coordinate updates to and manage social media (Facebook, Pinterest) communications for the Veterans Connect @ the Library grantees and project library staff contacts with approval from Project Manager(s).  Will research and select appropriate and timely media communications to share with all project libraries through a variety of communication channels, including email, project newsletter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc., and recommended Veterans Connect @ the Library website postings.  Will develops content for and prepare a monthly newsletter. Will obtain from project libraries their programming and event products produced (promotional materials, programs, etc.) in order to synthesize and format for posting to social media.

Content Creation for Website - Will research veteran-related materials including media, journal articles, partner newsletters, etc., to be approved by Project Manager(s) and submit for posting on the website. 

Regional Trainings – May assist with notification and enrollment of participants and assist with assembly of the conference packets.  May assist at meetings with on-site welcome and check-in and other logistical tasks. May be asked to present a training component with selected library staff and /or Project Manager(s).

Other projects that may arise during the course of the grant.  Some travel within CA will be required.  Eligible travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Other—ability to complete work to meet grant and Project manager deadlines.
