The Director of the University Library is responsible for leadership and overall management of library services and collections. We are particularly interested in finding a leader who can be an advocate of the library and manage the planning, budgeting, and staffing in support of the academic, instructional and information needs of faculty, students and staff.
• Direct library operations, and oversee a professional and support staff of over 10 individuals
• Consult with GGU faculty to determine library resources and service needs of academic programs and departments
• Develop library programs and policies in support of the academic departments
• Consult
with university administrators to determine budget and personnel
requirements and to coordinate library practices and procedures with
university policies
• Develop and administer the library’s annual budget
• Consult
with appropriate university administration to determine technology
needs and resources and to provide support for information management
and delivery
• Develop and manage the library’s physical collections and online resources
• Stay
abreast of library information services and technology to enhance
student success and raise the level of the library’s stature
• Participate in leadership positions in appropriate professional associations
• Assess quality and effectiveness of programs, resources and services
• Participate in reference, departmental liaison and instructional services
