San Diego State University Library and Information Access - Temporary Librarian Pool



Library and Information Access maintains an open pool of applications for temporary library faculty positions. Temporary appointments may be full-or part-time. We accept applications on an ongoing basis in all areas with principal responsibilities usually involving reference service or cataloging. Needs may also include collection development‚ and/or library instruction. Librarians wishing to be included in the pool for current or future needs are invited to submit a resume together with a cover letter outlining their interest. The pool is generally updated every six months‚ and applications may be renewed.
Qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent. Academic library experience preferred‚ but not required. Reference experience and familiarity with reference tools in business‚ sciences‚ social sciences‚ or humanities desirable; ability to apply technology to reference and instructional services desirable.
Rank and Salary: Appointments are normally made at the Assistant Librarian rank; current full time salary range is $46,524 - $55,944 per year.
