Library Technician
$19.76-$25.20 per hour
The City of Torrance is seeking a customer service oriented
Library Technician who is flexible, outgoing, creative, and has a passion for public libraries. The most successful
candidate will be a dynamic individual who has experience working with a diverse public, a keen attention to detail,
and the ability to exercise independent judgment. Come serve the community of Torrance as they live, learn,
work, and play in a City supportive of youth, seniors, families, and education
Minimum Requirements:
Any combination of education and experience that provides
the required knowledge and skills is qualifying:
- Bachelor's degree; or Associates degree or equivalent and
- two (2) years of experience in a library environment; or
- Library Support Staff Certificate and two (2) years of experience in a library environment; or High School graduation and four (4) years of experience in a library environment.

In addition to the above, the most successful candidate
will:

- Effectively deal with a diverse public;
- Be flexible and adaptable;
- Have an impeccable attention to detail;
- Use good judgment;
- Be adaptable to various situations;
- Work as a team player
