Salary:
Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and
experience. This is a full-time, 12-month tenure-track appointment at the rank
of Senior Assistant Librarian.

Duties:
The University Library seeks a user-centered librarian to support first-year experience, student success and faculty instruction and research through the delivery of instruction, consultation and innovative programming in targeted disciplines. Areas of focus may include one or more of the following: literature, philosophy, modern languages, business communication, social work, and child & family studies. The Instruction & Reference Librarian will collaborate with other faculty in the development of instructional materials and student support programs related to those disciplines while evaluating, selecting, and reviewing information resources in relation to the needs of teaching, learning, research and creative inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications:
1) An earned MLS/MLIS or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution
is required at the time of application.
2) Demonstrated experience in providing instruction, consultation and patron-centered programming based upon collaborative relationships with students, faculty and/or the campus community.
3) Evidence of experience engaging in research, scholarly activity, professional development and service.

Preferred Qualifications:
1) Demonstrated experience utilizing current and emerging
information technologies while applying current digital research trends to the
creation and delivery of learner-centered library services.
2) Evidence of experience providing information literacy instruction that is grounded in accepted information literacy standards/framework and performance indicators, as well as assessable student learning outcomes.
