Description

The Yolo County Historical Collection, which is housed at the 512 Gibson Road in Woodland is in the process of a review of the entirety of the collection. The historic home, once owned by William Byas Gibson, is undergoing a collections review which encompasses relocating objects in the new collections and conservation facility. This process involves handling of historical objects, condition reporting, cataloging and re-housing items. The start date for the project is September 2018.

The County is looking for individuals interested in the fields of history, public history, anthropology, art history, museum studies, library science or public education. If you are interested in gaining hands-on experience working with a historical collections and learning about local history under the supervision of the Yolo County Curator join us!
