Job Description and Duties
Located across the street from the State Capitol, the California State Library is a small, dynamic state agency looking for employees who are interested in challenging and rewarding job opportunities. The State Library is home to public reading rooms including Information Services, Government Publications, the Law Library, the Braille and Talking Book Library, and the California History Room.  It also plays host to Night at the State Library, annual community events like Juneteenth, the Archives Crawl, Museum Day and exhibits you won't find anywhere else!

Our State Library Services Bureau, California History Section has one key position open now!  Under the general supervision of the Supervising Librarian II, the Librarian is responsible for providing reference services for the patrons of the State Library's California History Room in order to connect patrons with the resources of the California History Room.
