Children’s Librarian—Dixon Public Library

The Dixon Public Library is seeking a Children’s/Youth Services Librarian. We are a small, independent special district library serving a community of approximately 26,000 people in the city of Dixon and surrounding ranches and farms. 

The position requires an M.L.S/M.L.I.S. and two years experience for a Librarian I, or five years experience for a Librarian II. The ideal candidate should enjoy planning programming, performing story times, working with children and teens and performing collection development. As we are a small library, the position will also include working at the adult reference desk, assisting with technological issues, an ability to work independently and being flexible with scheduling. The ability to speak Spanish and English is a plus, but not a requirement. Salary range: Librarian I: $47,070-57,241. Librarian II: $53,622-65,166. Position available 5/15/15.
